prep. (介词)
  1. above表示位置时笼统指“在上方”，不一定垂直，也不与其宾语相接触。
adv. (副词)
  1. above可用作介词宾语，如from above（从上面）。
  2. above用作副词时不用于比较等级。
adj. (形容词)
  1. above作“上述的”解时只用在名词前作定语，不用于比较等级。
  2. the above可用作名词，在句中用作主语时，谓语动词可用单数形式，也可用复数形式。
