用法讲解

v. (动词)
  1. recommend的基本意思是“推荐,介绍”,指有意识地向某人介绍某人或某物的详细情况,其优点,侧重“使…感到可取”,即某种性质、特征等看来可爱、令人满意或受欢迎。一般用作及物动词,接名词或代词作宾语。也可接双宾语,其间接宾语可转化为介词to的宾语。
  2. recommend还可作“劝告”解,指劝告或建议某人做某事,作此解时,常用动名词或that从句作宾语,从句中的谓语动词要用虚拟语气,还可接以动词不定式充当补足语的复合宾语。
  3. 表示“把…作为…推荐”时, recommend可接以as短语充当补足语的复合宾语。
  4. recommend可用于被动结构。
  1. recommend后可接双宾语，表达为recommend somebody something。

    He recommends me a good book.

  2. recommend后面很少加to。

    I recommend the students to be on the lookout for the idioms.
    加上it to加to更常见。

  3. recommend后常接动名词，不接不定式。

    I recommend being on the lookout for idioms.

  4. 当recommend后接that从句时，用虚拟现在式。

  • 这组词都有“赞同”的意思。其区别是：
  • commend表示“称赞”,多指有节制地赞许,其目的在于要人们注意某人或某事的优点和长处; recommend表示“使受欢迎”,不仅有赞扬的意思,还有将受到欢迎的事或人向别人推荐的意思; applaud表示“称赞”,强调赞扬的方式和人数的众多; compliment表示“称赞”,强调客气和礼貌,有时含有恭维的意思。

  • 这两个词的共同意思是“介绍”。其区别在于:
  • 1.introduce的含义是介绍某人或某物本身,使其被认识; recommend的含义是介绍某人或某物的优点、长处,使其被采用。例如:
  • He introduced the young man to the manager.他把那个年轻人介绍给了经理。
  • He recommended strongly the young man to the manager.他极力向经理推荐那个年轻人。
  • 2.recommend可用于“recommend sb sth ”句型,而introduce不能这样用。例如:
  • The publishing house introduced a series of books to the public.那家出版社向公众推出一套丛书。
  • The librarian recommended me a new novel.图书馆员向我推荐了一本新小说。
    • recommend，advocate，propose，suggest，prescribe
