  1. tall用作形容词的基本意思是“高”,多指由顶到底的长度,尤其指比较细长的东西,如人、树、建筑物等。引申可作“夸大的”解,主要用在口语中。
  2. tall在句中主要用作定语或表语。
  3. tall可和表示量度的名词构成短语,短语中的tall要置于度量名词之后。整个短语作定语时须置于所修饰的名词之后。

  • 这三个词都可表示“高的”,指高度上超过一般。其区别是：

  • The cost of living is high.生活费用很高。
