  2. inquiry指“询问，打听”时，是可数名词，后面介词可以使用about。

    Thanks for your inquiry about my health.

  3. 表示“询问某人时”用make inquires of sb。注意make inquire比make inquiry要更加普遍。
  4. inquiry指“调查”时，也时可数名词，但接介词into，如a public inquiry into safety standards（针对安全标准的公开调查）。
