adj. (形容词)
  1. neither常用在不带冠词的单数名词之前,谓语动词要用单数形式。
pron. (代词)
  1. neither用作代词时表示“两者都不”,可单独使用,用于没有冠词、物主代词、指示代词等限定词修饰的单数名词前,用作主语时,谓语动词用作单数形式,也可以和介词of连用,后接复数名词或人称代词,名词前面一定要有限定词修饰。
  2. neither作主语时,谓语动词在大多数情况下用第三人称单数形式,但在neither of...后可以用单数形式,也可以用复数形式。
adv. (副词)
  1. 在一个否定性陈述以后,可用neither表示这一否定性陈述也同样适用于另一人或另一事物,常用来接别人的话,引起一个主句或从句。
  2. neither可用在句子的开头或用在简略答语中,表示“也不”, neither前可有and或but,后接倒装语序。
conj. (连词)
  1. neither用作连词常与nor一起连用,连接两个相同成分,如两个主语或宾语,意思是“既不…也不”。
  2. 如果连接的是两个主语,句中谓语动词的人称和数取决于nor后面的离动词最近的名词或代词的人称和数。
